Rock & Runway has gone to some of the best bands in Denver and asked them to help make this event one of the best of the year. The following bands and DJ have agreed to volunteer their time to help raise money for our nonprofit community. We will feature music by local artisits:
An amalgam of the Denver metro area DELLA puts a new spin on the scene with blues-inspired vocals backed up with a harmonic distortion that searches for the answers that have plagued our existences. Why are we here?
Do we love to play music, or are we just trying to quit our day jobs? We have yet to figure out exactly what the correct combination is but be assured that it is probably a mixture. You can push a band in any direction but when it comes down to it…..what you write is what you write. Our final product, for lack of a better explanation, isn’t due to some great inspiration; it is just what comes out.
Sometimes the moment of clarity becomes something continual, rather than an instant. For Denver rock reggae/ska outfit, P-Nuckle, that evolution is about to be more apparent than ever. A matured sense of lucidity, coupled with the experience of a musical career spanning over a decade, has the group poised and ready for national ascent. Known for a dedicated passion for delivering messages of hope and triumph over adversity has allowed the band to cultivate an extremely loyal fanbase; one that is sure to grow with the release of the band’s fourth studio album, “Stand Up and Bitch”. Slotted for a release this fall, the album will give fans a direct glimpse of a full-grown set of ideals from one of Colorado’s most recognized bands. With eclectic musical influences ranging from Dancehall Reggae to straight ahead punk rock, P-Nuckle has always created a memorable live experience. While their next album may be a bit more mature, don’t expect a dumbed down live show. The band is ready to celebrate the journey that has created this album with a beefed up tour schedule. The national P-Nuckle family of fans, affectionately known as “Nuckleheads” will get the chance to see more of the band, then they have in the past year, and have every opportunity to be a part of the vibe of a P-Nuckle show. There are some bands that are a part of the times, and then there are some bands that create the times. Get ready for P-Nuckle!!
Kosmøs is brothers Ben & Tim Tonak, accompanied by many friends throughout the 10-year existence of the band. The pop accessibility of the band’s music belies an attitude and delivery that is all rock. With each release kosmøs’ songs have grown ever more upbeat while maintaining the smart, well-crafted lyrics that have rewarded attentive listeners since the start. The brothers will be joined by Nick Fiore on the drums at the Rock-N-Runway show.
DJ Kid Optimus will provide our event with fun music between live music sets as well as assist our Emcee’s and also provide great dance tracks after the last band to keep the party going until midnight!
